So when I was first practicing for the PAT section with CDP, angle ranking seemed to be my strong point. I was able to get a 13/15 on my first try without having ever seen an angle ranking problem and did a couple of more angle ranking tests and managed to only miss 1 or 2 questions. Since I thought I was pretty strong in that area and weak in others (TFE mainly...was getting 9/15), I didn't do any angle ranking problems for a couple of weeks. Consequently, my TFE score improved tremendously (been getting 13/15) while my angle ranking score has totally gone downhill (9/15)!

Is this a common problem or am I just abnormal?

haha i was the same way. Before studying or learning "techniques" my naked eye could differentiate pretty well among the angles but then as i started using peoples techniques my ability dissipated and i had to start from square 1. Practice is key bro

Lol yeah, I definitely think all of the "techniques" that I've been learning have messed up my angle ranking game!

Same thing occured to me as well.

But, I did angle ranking, set differences only degrees, and practice about 30~40 questions before I start to study.

Consequently, the angles that were shown on the real DAT was a lot more easier than the one that I had practiced.

So I really recommend you to start do angle ranking problems noW!!
