I'm not sure if everyone knows this or i'm just late about everything, but Kaplan offers a free PCAT Practise test as well. Like a practise simulation test where you go in and take a timed PCAT exam just like the real thing and they send you your score in a couple of days. I haven't done it yet but i plan too. I know its given in New York, not sure about the other states. Maybe this can be added to the PCAT FAQ sticky (if it isn't there already and i missed it).

Could you provide a link?

http://www.kaptest.com

put in your zip code, pick PCAT from the drop down menu,
the screen is going to pop up with kaplan classes etc, pick the last tab that says "Free Events" it should say weather kaplan is giving the free practise test in your state

Here is what new york's look like

i hope this helps, let me know if something doesn't work, or i am not clear on my explaination.

Yup,

I work for Kaplan so can attest to it. Basically it's to get people interested in signing up for the courses. The practice tests are the first step, after you get your results, we can analyze it together to figure out where your weak points are based on your study habits, mistakes made in calculations, trends in your answering pertaining to fatigue/morale etc.

Kaplan IMHO is expensive but well worth it for those that need it. I wouldn't work for them otherwise.

Unfortunately, since USN doesn't require the PCAT, the Las Vegas branch doesn't offer PCAT lessons (yet). So I'm a DAT teacher. Go figure. =)

I am debating whether or not to take the courses offered at kaplan. I am planning on taking the free practice test and using the kaplan book. Do the courses really help?
