Studying for the MCAT can be both physically and mentally exhausting. For those of you who didn't feel to have the physical power to sustain long hours of studying everyday, did you take any nutrient supplement (e.g. Multivitamin gummies)?

Not looking for products such as energy drinks here. Simply for OTC dietary supplement that are helpful for MCAT studying.

I bought a 3 month supply of Death Wish Coffee( the world's strongest coffee) a single cup is more than enough to sustain me for my 8-10 hour study days. Hope this helps.

ive been taking multivitamins every day and they keep me energized throughout my long hours of studying. also remember the importance of taking breaks to give your brain a psychological refresher!

I've found supplements less helpful than eating healthy to get the nutrition.

So I've made sure my diet is on point to help my concentration and motivation. That includes lots of chicken/turkey, fruits, veggies, whole wheat bread, eggs, nuts, and a small bag of chips/small bottle of diet soda added on to help keep me sane.

When is your exam? if it's a month from now, i seriously wouldnt change my diet, habits or else.

What's working for me so far with pulling 8 hrs a day, is setting up "healthy" (Some days I have pizza for lunch lol) meals and sweet sugary snacks in between. I set up my studying habit like an MCAT full length, meaning that I take the necessary breaks etc every single day. What gives me a boost of energy in between the breaks are small snack size Kit-Kat or a little clementine . I know you shouldn't load yourself with sugar, but a bite of candy really does give me energy.

My study habits were super rusty. I started researching what could help with cognition and memory and decided to try high dose omegas. I've been taking 1500mg+/day for the cognitive and immune benefit. Specifically, I added Nordic Naturals omega 3 liquid (and a greens powder) to my morning supplements a month ago and I'm feeling less tired and am seeing improvement with my recall ability. 🙂

Is it the supplements improving your recall, or your consistent studying and analytical reasoning that is sharpening your memory?

Confounding Variables abound!
