Hi Everyone,

I was wondering with MCAT registration opening up this month what would be the latest I can take it that I can still submit "early"? I want to ideally take a couple weeks after finals to really cement my studying throughout the semester but I'm not sure if that's possible. I just know I'd be a mess if I took it during midterms in April.

I've never applied before and advising at my school is really hard to see often so I was wondering what the whole "verify one school before applying to others until score comes back" means and if it would work in my case? I want to apply to mainly MD/PhD programs(both MSTP and not, or the few funded DO/PhDs). How do I make sure I don't submit too late?

Also, check out the Physician Scientists subforum where most of our MD/PhD folks hang out. I also encourage you to connect with APSA and attend their webinars.

If you have taken your prereqs already, what is stopping you from taking the MCAT in January/March for a 2026-2027 cycle? If you read the article, many applicants have their MCAT score in hand when beginning the process, even in the calendar year before.

Thanks for sharing!

I am in organic chemistry II right now and I haven't taken biochemistry nor physics II yet. Which is why January/March sounds daunting.
