So I took Calc 2 this semester because some schools require it. I ended up with a D in the course. I want to take it again, but will this D mess with my chances to get into Pharmacy school?

No, don't let it discourage you. Just retake it and look to improve in areas d weakness, whether you study more etc. it's not the end of the world, just try harder next semester.

I agree. Most pharmacy schools do not require Calculus II, but I had to take it for my B.S. degree. I understand what you are going through....I took 21 credit hours this semester and I received great grades (all A's and 1 B), except for a C+ in Biochemistry. I was so upset at myself, even though I did not need to take Biochemistry before pharmacy school (Biochem is for my degree as well). My point (and I am still trying to learn) is to not get discouraged because of a bad grade. Retake if you have to. Good luck.

Only school off the top of my head that requires Cal II is Purdue. 🙂 Basically don't let one grade get you down, many people fail a lot and get back up..stronger than they were before. You have one grade that isn't so hot, but retake the class and try, try again.

I dont think its too big of a deal. As already covered, its a non-prereq class. I would retake it though if you have the time to do so.

I dont see that many pharmacy school that require Calc 2. After Calc1, I see no reason why you should continue with more math unless your undergrad requires. Mid you, Calc2 is not an easy class. I could have never imagined how many different integrating techniques exists.
