So I'm still prepping for STep 2. Taking it in a few days.

Seriously, how bad is the application? How much time would it take? I would imagine the hardest part is the personal statement, which I haven't started yet either.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Same. I can only think about Step 2 for the moment. Taking it on Monday. Then I'll deal with the pile of crap I have to do re:ERAS, letters, personal statement, etc.

Either way, as long as you get it in before Sept 15th, there is no advantage to getting it done early from my understanding.

You could probably do the whole app, start to finish, in a week. Besides minor changes I did my personal statement in about 24 hours once I actually mustered the motivation to start writing (but I'm a good writer, YMMV), and depending on how much you have done it won't take long to put in your experiences. My friend got the whole thing done the Sunday ERAS opened. He's an eager beaver lol. (He'd already done PS for our dean's meeting). So yeah, don't worry about it.
