Diff between Rad Onc and heme/onc

Hi all,

I am a first year. Can someone please explain the difference between a Rad Onc doc and a Heme Onc doc as far as patient contact, diseases seen, and treatment plans overseen .... and basically what each one does in daily routine.

If I wish to go into any of these two then how will the research differ? Is there one kind of research that is applicable foe one residency and not the other or it all the same? I guess from what little iunderstand, both specs are treating cancers, so why have two specalities?
