I would like to run a cbt for weightloss group but am unsure whether this falls under the rubric of a workshop or a treatment activity...can someone tell me where I would go to find this out?

Thanks!

Sounds like a group treatment-- You'll be doing CBT, after all. 🙂

I always considered 'workshop' to mean training other practitioners, rather than treating clients.

I noticed that there weren't many answers, so I thought I'd take a stab at it. My first thought is that it has a lot to do with how you spin it. Is there an advantage to having it labeled one way or another? I would also think a tx activity would involve more individualized care (e.g. You doing an intake and checking in on individual progress).

I too see it as treatment - cbT. A workshop typically implies an educational goal as opposed to behavioral change.
