I know this is a really basic, silly question- but can someone please explain the difference between categorical vs. non-categorical programs? If my goal is to do my PGY-1 year at the same place as I'd do my three anesthesiology training years, which would I apply for?
Don't most programs allow you to apply to do your PGY-1 year at their institution where you'd do the rest of your training?
How can you tell from the basic info they put on their program website?
