I am searching for Kaplan books via Ebay. I see two sets of books for 2006. One is a set of 4 books with black covers, titled "USMLE Step 1 Review." The other is a set of 8 books with blue and white covers, titled "USMLE Step 1 Lecture Notes."

What is the difference?

Thanks!

one is for home study, available to the public.
the other is for lecture, available to those who pay $3000 for the course.
the lecture notes are overrated and excessive.

Thanks.

Do you (or anyone) know how the content of the books differ? The 'lecture notes' seem to have a lot more material. Are the lecture notes more thorough? Is all the material in the 'Home Study' books contained in the 'Lecture Notes'? How are the books organized (organ system based or not)?

I have the 2006 Kaplan Home study books if anyone is interested in buying them. They are all BRAND NEW. I did not recieve them in time to study for my exam, but they seem to be pretty good books. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can give you a good deal. Thanks.
