    What is the difference between waitlist and alternate????

    basically which one is the better one to be

    well on a waitlist, if you don't get in, you can apply next time.

    on an alternate list, if you don't get in, they kill your family.

    whichever you think is better is up to you.

    i think alternate sounds better, it's like they already have someone picked out for you to replace its like an understudy or like you are up next if something bad should happen to lead. whereas waitlist sounds like you're still in the long line.

    When you are on the alternate list, you better start thinking about an alternate career because you are certainly not good enough to be a physician.
