can anyone explain the differences between those 3?

have any of the republican candidates announced their strategy for fixing our health care system?

Don't pay attention to Hillary, she won't win an election anyway. 🙂

Obama does not make health insurance mandatory as opposed to Clinton and Edwards.

On the republican side, Giuliani wants a large tax credit for those who purchase health insurance.

Let's see. Oh yeah...a BIG tax credit really helps the folks who don't have MONEY in the first place for health insurance, much less make enough to need a tax credit!

But, wait...let's insure ALL CHILDREN--the single-most largest pool of healthiest people--boy, that's an insurance company's wet dream. And the government will make it happen! Yippeee! Do I smell Lobbyist???

Oh yes, let's continue to offer group insurance at reduced rates to companies (read: Big Business) because they're GROUPS...despite the condition of their employees (obese, drugees, psychos, you name it). Guess who pays that bill? Why do you think individual rates are so high??? Who rigged this set-up?

SOLUTIONS:
Cut out the politics and let's get down to ensuring our citizens have basic health care. Cut out the insurance companies and folks may just pay less for health care (60% of your premium goes to administrative overhead for the INSURANCE companies--read "SATAN"). Wait until your parents have to cut you off their group policies & you have to pay an individual premium as a med student...rude awakening, folks.

Let's educate enough of our own highly intelligent citizens to become doctors at a reasonable price & maybe doctors won't need to make $250k/year just to support their families AND pay off their onerous student loans! :meanie:

Or we could just let people associate as promised by the first amendment and form groups independent of government intrusion or accusations of anti-trust in order to purchase insurance. Repeal laws that prevent insurance companies from selling across state lines and let the uninsured form groups and shop in all 50 states. That'll fix a lot, all without replacing insurance companies with a bunch of blathering idiots (aka: congress).
