If students A has 4.0 GPA, B has 3.9 GPA, C has 3.5 GPA,
and the student C is from Community college or doing master's,
do dental schools accept student A and B, or A and C?

In other word, do they have a system that they pick students from different pools instead of picking the best students out of all the candidates?

Well first off there is a lot more to that theoretical question than GPA. A strong applicant is a strong applicant. If the DAT is strong then it will reflect that you learned the material regardless of where you went. Also, what kind of masters program and how is applicant C doing there. I imagine that dental schools who receive CC applications, probably put more emphasis on other things besides GPA. But a lot of schools do that anyways. Ambiguous question my friend...

If the 3.5 is from a bonafide university while the 4.0/3.9 is from a Podunk CC/University you can safely place your bet on the former.
