Difficulty of Kaplan?

Hello all,

I'm using Kaplan to prep for the MCAT. I find that the section tests they have available online are killer. On AAMC practice tests I can score anywhere between 10-12 on PS, but on Kaplan section tests I seem to get <60% of the questions correct. On my most recent section test (PS section test 3) I got 52% correct. That's only a fart better than random chance.

Anyone else notice this in their Kaplan studies?

If you read some of the other posts on Kaplan tests, the kaplan tests are harder. However when you get to the full lengths, you will notice the curve is very friendly. 60% can definately be a 10 in the kaplan full lengths science sections.

I would try to take some AAMCs here an there as well.

Chances are, even though you will be getting more wrong on the kaplans than AAMC, your scaled scores will be close in proximity.
