I received an interview invitation last week. This is my only invitation so far and it is for my top choice. However, it is on short notice as the dates are for later this week and early next week (out of state). My dilemma is that I know I should interview ASAP (esp before Dec. 1st), but right now I don't feel mentally prepared on such short notice and I don't want to blow this interview because it's my top choice. I originally wanted an interview in mid-dec/early-jan after this semester is over, but I don't want the school to get a sense of hesitation from me. My GPA is already low, but it will go up with the academic update. Am I just over thinking it? Is a week enough time to be prepared?
Dilemma...please help!

This is not a dilemma. You need to go to this interview and generally speaking the earlier you interview the better your chances for an acceptance. You have plenty of time to prepare, look over interview feedback and the schools website and if it is your number one you must already know a good deal about the school. It is possible to over prepare for these things, just go in and be yourself and know your app.

I agree with everyone else. Go to the interview pre-december if you can. Do the feedback, look at the website, read your application, and be your best self. It would be so awesome if you get an acceptance Dec 1st from them. I hope you do. Try your best not to be too nervous.

Which school did you get the invite from?
Schedule the interview for early next week. Spend the rest of the week and this weekend preparing. This is your first interview and it's pre-Dec. GO TO THE INTERVIEW. There are so many people who would love to have this problem. Go to the interview and hopefully you'll get a good interviewer too. Good luck.
