Hi guys,

Need some advice....my mcat score is decent, but my VR turned out to be an 8...

I'm hoping to apply to some US Schools in June....but will have to write the mcat again b/c schools in my own province have rigid cutoffs of 9 and 10 on VR (ie you don't get that 9 or 10, you're eliminated regardless of gpa, ec's etcetc)

I understand I'll have to indicate that I will be writing the test again in August when I apply through AMCAS...but is it still possible for US schools to consider my application w/ my existing mcat scores (31 overall) even though I've indicated I will be writing the test again ????

Thank you!🙂

you're fine...an 8 isn't the end of the world...you might have to say good-bye to Stanford, but tons of places are willing to overlook it.

Why not just take the test in April and not put yourself in a disadvantage by making schools wait for your new scores?
