Disabilities

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm sure there are ways to do so eligantly
however I was cautioned strongly against doing so.

why were you cautioned against it? i think that if done tactfully, it can be very powerful. minus any melodrama, if you let the diability's effect on you unravel as a story, part of the your life and who you are, i not only think that it would be effective but important.

Yeah that is my question too! I Pm'ed you to ask.

Frankly, I wouldn't want to go to a school that didn't want me solely because of a disability. That's just a sign of crappy people making decisions there, and your life might very well be made miserable once you got there. And you wouldn't know it until it was too late, and you needed some assistance, and they give you hell instead.

I guess it depends on the feeling of the people who are reviewing your application. It was just the advice I was given by people at the med school where I want to go. But that is why I added the part about if worded well it may be alright.

Shortstuff I sent you back a message.

It wouldnt' be allowed if they were found out.. but I'm sure somewhere sometime it probably happens.
