No, this information is 100% confidential under FERPA and the ADA. It doesn't show up on any of your transcripts, professors are not permitted to put it in any of your letters by law, and med schools will have no way of knowing this.

Source: This was personally confirmed to me by my school's disability services office because I was hesitant to file for services for similar reasons even though I benefited from Disability Services in K-12.

This stuff is your right under the ADA. Never feel bad or worry about using it. The law is on your (our!) side here, @Treebunny4 !

The ADA has some gray areas but the bottom line is that if you have any kind of physical disability or learning disability, you shouldn't hesitate to use your school's disability office. The advantages extend beyond extra time: you can get a private room to take your tests in which reduces distractions, you can request video recorded lectures so that you can study on your own time, etc. The downside is that you will need to have a physician verify that you have a severe disability that merits these kinds of accommodations.

I know someone who used their school's disability services due ADD/ADHD. While she was always done 1.5x before the normal/regular timed deadline, studying in a private room free of most distractions and with earplugs in helped immensely. She excelled in the courses that were video recorded, and this was mandated by law (as it is for anyone with a disability).

Good luck and feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.
