If a dentist became physically incapable of practicing dentistry, could they still retain ownership of their dental practice if they hired associates? Would having an inactive license cause them to have to sell their practice?

I'm not sure but I do know of someone who had to sell his practice because his back gave out.

Yup they can hire associates and still keep their practice going.
