most definitely yes. how many people with backgrounds like yours do you think are going to be applying to medical school? you have overcome more than most and will be a more empathetic doctor for it. remember that 60% of medical school matriculants come from families who make more than $100k per year. people who grow up with financial security are at a huge advantage in the education system and you are overcoming huge odds. respect.
