Disappointing DAT

So I took my DAT today and ended up with a
PAT 18
QR 15
RC 22
BIO 19
CHEM 20
OCHEM 19
AA 19
TS 19

I know I panicked on the QR and ran out of time and ended up guessing on so many. I have a 3.57gpa and a 3.48 sGPA with an upward trend. I feel like it is too late in the process to be able to retake the DAT and I would have to apply next cycle. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? I know my DAT is not good and my QR is just horrible I just don't know how much weight is put on QR. I am instate for Maryland so would ideally like to end up there but I know if may be a reach. I'm just not sure what to do after my disappointing scores 🙁

Other than the QR I think you did great! And if there is one section to bomb it's the qr since it's the least important

I think its fine. I've noticed that your TS, AA, and PAT score is more of what dental schools may look at , so basically the QR is almost excluded. you can always apply this cycle, and then if you don't make it reapply next cycle. i think its a good opportunity to learn what you need to improve on if you don't make it this time, and if you make it this time then it'll be awesome 🙂

I have two friends who were accepted last cycle and both of them had a 19 DAT. One of them to Ohio State and the other to Louisville. Good luck!
