In thinking ahead to first community attending job next year, I am trying to put together discharge bundles for common chief complaints in an effort to improve patient satisfaction and attempt to help symptoms. Just common OTC or simple prescription remedies that gives the patient SOMETHING to hang their hat on once they leave. For example, for GERD sounding pain, I typically discharge on some combination of protonix/pepcid + Maalox. Other chief complaints that easily come to mind include:

Headache
Adult URI
Pedi URI
MSK pain (traumatic or atraumatic)
Dental pain
Anxiety / Panic attack (is anyone ever giving extremely short term benzos for this?)
Low risk EtOH withdrawal

What is your practice out there???
