I'm worried. I'm supposed to take Step 3 next week, and I took the UWSA 3 weeks ago, and got a 440, but just took NBME form 3 today, and got a 340. I've been studying for the past few weeks, so I don't know how my score could have dropped. I've even been getting much better on the UWQB, so it really seems weird that I would do so horribly on the NBME self assessment. I did read somewhere that sometimes if you lose the internet connection on the exam, then maybe some of the answer choices won't register. I did lose the connection towards the beginning of the 3rd set of questions, so there is a small chance that it could have happened for that section, but I think that was just someone's theory, not fact.

I really don't know what to do now. I'm scared. I was feeling really good about the test up until that NBME.

What are people's experience with the different assessments and how it correlates to their real exam score?

The NBMEs are more accurate than UW. Historically, UW questions have been a poor representation of Step 3 questions. Regarding the drop in score, that's more common among students than you might think. It relates back to using the wrong resources.

Same thing happened to me
My test was suppose to be on Aug 27 and I took the UWSA got a 490(215) and then took NBME 3 and got a 320 I ended up postponing my test and now feel lost
I used Premier review as my exclusive source with notes from UW in it, did not read MTB😕
