Discrimination on the basis of multiple IIs?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Schools don't know how many IIs you get. Avoid that person from now on.

Yes, schools cannot access a secret AMCAS dashboard and see IIs, but individual interviewers who want to be nosy and size up the competition in an effort to do a little ad hoc yield management can apparently do whatever they want. It happened to me last cycle at one school.

Also, OP has done little to hide his identity, and has an interview tracker in his signature, so this general advice does not apply to him. I doubt most schools care about other IIs, but, if they want to engage in yield management and you post your entire cycle on SDN and reddit without masking your identity, you are certainly giving them the means to do so.

I worry less about faculty interviewers being nosy on SDN forums. I do know a few intrepid student interviewers who are more adept at this social media thing...

I also wouldn't think faculty interviewers would have the time or inclination. Admissions office staffers, on the other hand ...

SDN and reddit are very well known, popular venues for premeds and med students. Any admissions office that's plugged into what's going on in 2022 probably has people that lurk. After all, several participate, either anonymously or not. Don't you work at a school?

Good point. Work-study has some benefits. 🙂
