OK, so if we have established that Washington Unviersity in St Louis is no where near either "Washington" (State or DC), let's discuss why Northwestern is not in the Northwest. (Or is it?)
Northwestern is actually in the southwest[ern tip of Lake Michigan], US. Crazy how mother nature put that there honestly

How Mother Nature put Northwestern university there? I think you need to check your natural history classes...

Heard this story about two docs flying back to Oregon after a conference in New York. An hour after the plane takes off, the overhead announces, “We will be landing in Portland shortly...”. One doc says, “what does this mean?” The other says, “I think it means we’re having lobster for dinner!” They spent the night in Portland, Maine after a fine meal.

Teaching point- always review your flight reservations before and after purchase...

Special shoutout to Wake Forest which is not located in Wake Forest North Carolina because tobacco... or something
No lie when I was applying to UG as someone who has lived in NC for almost TWELVE YEARS, I STILL thought WF was in the actual "Wake Forest" area of Raleigh. It wasn't until they were like hey come interview at Winston-Salem I was like

....huh?

Did NOBODY else have to memorize states, capitals, and locations in elementary school/middle school/high school?
I just developed an abnormal Sporcle geography quiz obsession a few years ago, so I'm not sure what the normal geography retention should be at our age.

Actually Northwestern(NU not NW) is in two places. The main campus is in Evanston on the lake but Feinberg and the Law School and assorted grad programs are right in the heart of Chicago near the lake. So not in the Northwest and not even really northwest of each other.

There seems to be a big difference between matriculant's MCAT vs accepted's MCAT at many top schools. What do you make out of that? Please don't pass any judgment here. Just hard data analysis. Thank you.
I noticed this the other day when reviewing. Glad you asked!
