Does the PCAT expect you to know various diseases of the eyes or what kind of bacteria will cause this disease, or this disease is caused by what kind of bacteria, etc? My study has not focused on that, but hopefully someone can shed some light on this? Thanks.

No. Just basic biology.
I seem to recall that there were some diseases on there either caused by microbes or some sort of nutritional deficiencies. I would study the more well known diseases first and get to the others only if you are pretty solid on the rest of your material. At most, it is only a question or two so it might not be worth it to put in too much time on that if you have other big gaps in your knowledge.
