Long story short: my profs for the most part are disorganized and have no real method to their madness. Things that should be covered are not, thus leaving me in the dark.

To comabt this, I ordered EK's Bio book to study from, figuring I can learn alot from reading, which I do well at.

I have taken by Physics I class two semesters ago and will be taking it next semester. Anybody know a way to make sure I know all my basic trig-based physics down?

thanks,
dxu

Your best bet would be to open the book, look at the sample problems, and say, "Can I do this?"

Be careful about trying to learn from MCAT review books. Yes, they're great for overarching concepts and the big picture, but they're not meant to be a substitute for undergraduate classwork. You will cover a depth not required for the MCAT in your classes. Talk to your professors. If you feel like there are many out there like yourself, communicate with them and sign a collective letter saying that there are some things about the curriculum that you would like to see changed. You're paying good money to sit there; you might as well get something out of it. Take as much control of your academic life as you can WHILE you can.

The way my school is set up they teach bits and pieces all over the place or they talk a little about one topic in principles of bio and then elaborate in an upper level elective course. Imagine cramming bio 1 and bio 2 into a semester course and only meeting two days a week for an hour. My school is not very big on the sciences. We have an affiliation with LECOM but hardly anybody pursues this route. I'm just using EK to 1.) Give me a good outline of things I should be really paying attention to and 2.) help reinforce any concepts I may be unfamiliar with because my ug classes did not cover them well

thanks for advice!
