Hello, everybody !
I will be grateful for your help.
If the on-Us IMG was dismissed from medical school and then restored back,
he lost the chance to apply to residency?
is it a big red flag that destroys everything?
My mother was dying (I was the only relative who could take care of her), and I was forced to leave the medical school.
After her death, I returned to medical school. If I will fresh graduate (img) with high scores and Lors from American doctors, this terrible break in medical school will spoil everything??
Thank you for your time!

1) Where did you go to medical school (country)?
2) Are you a U.S. citizen and/or do you have permanent resident alien status?
3) Have you are are you ECFMG certified? That is, have you passed Step 1, Step 2-CK, and Step 2-CS?

When we say "dismissed" from medical school, we mean you failed out or were otherwise kicked out for a professionalism problem.

If you left medical school to address a personal issue, then returned, without a problem, then that is usually much less of a problem.

But each program will assess your application differently. so it's impossible to make general statements.
