For anyone that has started DIT, how many hours per day are you spending on it? And how may days are you attempting to finish it in?

It felt like it took me "forever"- but I was trying to do it properly. It took me around 4 weeks and I was easily doing 12 hours a day. But I stopped to do every quiz, to look up the images when he said look at the images, make annotations in First Aid, and look up anything that didn't quite make sense.

Toward the end I got slightly more efficient, but most of the time I was doing 2 videos/day because that got me to 9 hours, and I still wanted time to do questions and review things.

It can probably be done in 15 days- if you want to shoot yourself in the face or if you don't actually participate in all of the quizzes in each lecture.

I personally got a lot out of DIT; it forced me to go through everything, and a lot of the important points were emphasized over and over again so I will never forget them. My qbank is going well, and I can't complain about where I am right now in my studying with a month left.

I think the OP was asking about DIT 2012. Judging by your comments, it seems like you did DIT 2011 because DIT 2012 hasn't even been out for 4 weeks. Anybody have experience with DIT 2012 specifically that can chime in on the new format?

DIT would make more sense on your last month. Taking that much time is too much for two videos. His 19 day plan calls for 5.5-6 hours of videos in the morning and 92 world questions in the afternoon. I would say you need to go over First Aid once or twice before. I have it in my schedule to finish first aid twice before doing DIT which will finish 4 days before my test.

Please forgive my ignorance as I am just starting M1 in a few months, but what is "DIT"

Doesn't matter, I did both DIT 2010 and 2011...it's literally the same thing. I doubt much has changed for DIT 2012

just look at the changes between 2011 and 2012, and study those on your own...it's mostly just a reorganization of the same material

Thanks. They revamped their whole things and made entirely new videos, new lecturers, and all the videos are 30-45 min blocks instead of 1.5-2 hr videos like before. The 2011 videos were mostly voice-overs from 2010 videos. Anybody actually use the DIT 2012 videos that can comment on them? Thanks in advance.

they probably just cut the lectures in half then...in the end it's going to be the same thing

I didn't do the 2012, so I can't really comment...

but from a business/Time point of view..i doubt he records everything all over again each year..that would waste a ton of time..but then again, I'm assuming for 2012

This isn't the case, the videos are all new with different lecturers and a different look. I only did the first couple but from those it was clear that the program has gone through a makeover.

That is what I'm trying to figure out. Did it improve for the better and do you feel it helps chet? If you have seen the 2011 videos, would you please compare? Thanks in advance.

I have only seen a few of the 2010 videos, and like I said only a couple of the 2012 since I had to postpone the program. I can't really say if they are better. . . the book seems way higher quality, and it does look like they put a lot of time into this edition, but it could just all be smoke and mirrors and be pretty much the same core material.

I too was hoping to get more information from someone who has made it further into the program.
