For my test, DIT was on the mark with the know this and you'll be okay HYQs and 4 and 5 star topics. The problem for me was that I just blanked on so many things during the test. I am so pissed at myself because I knew the material...arg! Still feel like **** after taking the test.

+1

If DIT says "know this" then you should learn it. Although, due to the randomness of it at times, I had forgotten some of them (like the leptin and hunger deal hah).

It sucks walking out of the exam and thinking, damn, I knew that stuff too...

I don't suppose anyone has a list of the 'Know this and you'll be fine' laying around - or is that just something that comes with the DIT package.

It's something that comes with DIT. As he goes through it, he'll announce "star topics" from 1 to 5 star. 5 meaning that you'll likely have multiple questions on it and 1 meaning you probably won't have any. There's also material in the study guide that he covered - like the cancer drugs - and said, "If you know what's in here, you'll probably get all of the questions on the exam. If you want to know more, look at First Aid."

Yeah, the thing about DIT and FA is that, if you don't know FA really well, then you're spreading yourself thin by having DIT.

Now, it's true DIT will tell you which stuff to concentrate on in FA, but they also add more stuff to learn with their study guide, which means more to learn.

I personally used DIT to just keep me on track so I don't slack...but I also found it hard that after watching the DIT lectures, I didn't have much time left to review the material over again and even hit 50 practice questions...the lectures took up a good portion of the day (but I also paused a lot, and studied along the way) and would write down page numbers of FA where there were tables or lists of stuff to memorize that I would need to go over once more on the weekend.

Hey! Just in case some of you have written DIT mnenomonics which aren't in first aid, I would appreciate a lot if you post it here. I'm easily distracted student so I didn't write none of them while doing the course. Thanks a lot in antecipation
