For eveyrone using the "3 question warm-ups" and "end of session quizzes" how much do you think it helps for step 1....it takes me an average of at least 10-15 minutes to thoroughly go through each question on UWORLD but the DIT quizzes are like 5-10 seconds a piece....

A friend who did DIT was a big fan of them for suring stuff up. If you're doing DIT and they take 30 sec to do, why not do them

They have helped me so far, they are random enough yet cover everything throughout the course so it really helps remind me of what I don't know. It's especially helpful if you are trying to go through the course at a relatively fast pace.

They aren't there for exam practice. They're there for rapid repetition of fundamental facts that you need to know (if you don't already from second year). Think of them as flash cards in a way. They're not mechanisms but they have been highlighting basic facts to help commit to memory, so when they pop up in question stems or vignettes on UWorld and on the real thing you can be pointed in the right direction and frame of thought when transversing the second and third degree logic you see on the NBME/USMLE. The little quizzes are quick and painless. If you're doing DIT, then do the quizzes. Make sure you're setting enough hours per day though of doing UWorld and going over wrong and right answer choices.
in response to medpack....Most UWORLD explanations touch on like 20 different concepts in the explanations...it takes alot of time to type out notes and summarize teh explanation per question..

It takes time to go through both of your correct answers and wrong answers thoroughly, to determine why you got a question right or wrong. Then the explanations of problems and answers in UWorld is extensive. Going through the "wrong" answer choices' explanations has a lot of high yield info that is helpful for when those would be the correct answer in a different situation. Annotating the information can take time, but personally I've picked up on a lot of things so far that has helped on UWorld and NBME from the other answer choices' explanations.
