Just about finished M3. Will be taking Step 2 in a few weeks. Finished all of Uworld throughout third year.

Started DIT now and a few lectures in. It uses Step up to step 2. My worry is that its too much of a simple review? They do certainly hit highyield stuff that I can remember from Uworld but still...My experience with Uworld and shelf exams is that there have been a lot of "we've done this, this, and this to the patient who has disease X. What should we do next?". DIT thus far does not seem to be covering this kind of information. I am worried it might not be best use of time and if I should really just go back and focus more on Uworld all over again.

I haven't really seen anyone make this comment on SDN in previous threads. Any opinions, insight, or advice?

(BTW i'm by no means a superstar. Usually in the 50th%tile of test takers on shelves. Unfortunately, I am often unclear about "what to do next", which is why DIT is worrying me)

wondering the same thing, that is why people say use MTB.

I am considering using FA for step 2 ck as well. But really unsure of what to use.

Yeah I loved DIT for Step 1. They really missed the boat on Step 2 it seems like. It's not hitting many things in UWorld from what I can remember. Gonna have to switch it and slide to MTB I suppose...

Yes in general I have heard folks had less positive reviews for Step 2.

I feel like MTB misses a lot of information :-(... I like the format, organization, and how easy it is to read but I didn't like how major diseases were not covered which popped up on Uworld a lot. I've just always heard step up to step 2 was best bang for buck as far as review books. Heard good things about FA but never got around to reading it :-(

I had the opposite results, feeling that step 1 prep from DIT was just "get you to a 230" and a lot of "you'll need to look up a lot extra to do much better." Their step 2 material took me from 212 prestudy to a 253 actual. Didn't love SUS2, but thought it was worth it. Not sure how much they changed it from last year, though. Good luck.
