Hello, struggling with some options right now and wondering what everyone's thoughts are:

I take my final shelves the first week of May. By then, I'll have completed the RxQbank, gone through FA at least once (annotating the crap out've it with various outside resources to connect the dots). I currently have purchased DIT, and was originally thinking about doing the program that first week of dedicated study time...doing an NBME before, and then after, the program.

Now I'm starting to wonder if just buying the kaplan Qbank, (was going to do UW for the final 3-4 weeks) might be a better idea?. Even at 100Q per day, that's still 1400 more practice questions...which I'm starting to think is time better spent. Thanks!

Fo sho, I think you have until 2nd day of your lectures for a full refund. I just returned my Kaplan online subscription too (but they let me keep the books? haha).

I should also state I've been doing GT since about October. Apparently GT is legit. I'm only 56% banked (mainly path + biochem + micro) but after doing questions, and seeing my scores, I just think reading FA/having it read to me is a waste of time. Of course I'm going to do that, I just don't need the majority of my time there.

we're on the same page, im a big fan of gt, 100% banked, and IMO a better use of time/money than DIT (though since I haven't done it I can't know for sure). Like I said, I'd vote for kaplan + finishing GT.

I had previously signed up for Gunner Training and used the GT QBank. I must say I am not impressed at all. The questions themselves are passable, but the explanations are very weak. I have seen much better written questions in those free qbanks. Therefore, considering it is actually a paid product, I would expect something better.

I didn't cancel my subscription, but I didn't renew it either.

I've been doing DIT and following through 2010 with audio, along with Goljan.

I try to do a minimum of 25 random questions a day (in addition to whatever webpath or uworld for class). Sundays get 46 questions. I used to limit that to just Uworld, but now that I've only got 40% left and I take it June 15, I've just been saying general questions. I have the pretest question book, kaplan question book, and NMS question book which gives me another 2000 ish questions. My goal is at least 1.5 (if not 2x) through Uworld, official DIT (I'm doing the worksheets now too), and at least once through all the different qbooks. At that point, with webpath and robbins review included, I will have done well over 5000+ questions by the end of the year.

I'm a question learner, so I don't want to make it seem like I'm some super gunner. It is just comforting me to know that there is literally no questions they can throw at me that I haven't at least covered once.

Short story long, I'd still just get one official qbank. You can buy a few question books for around 5 bucks online to give you a fill and buy 2 extra weeks or so at 50 q's a day if you have to.

Hi Day man,

TIME is very important, and I believe questions are so important.
So I vote for questions as well, At this point in the game, specially if u r a good reader. Im sure that DIt can be a great product if it helps u go thru FA, but at this time, I think u will benefit more doing questions. And going FA over and over on ur own.

But only u know where u r at at this point.
I think DIT has a refund policy, look at the website. But they will discount about 70 dollars as long as u havent seen the lectures(U get to keep his notes I believe). And if u have seen the lectures, according to how many lectures u opened, I believe they give U a portion back. Look at the website for details.

Well Good Luck in ur studies....

The more questions, the better. DIT is a very good program from what i have heard. But if you can go through FA yourself, you should definitely go for qbank.
