Hey Guys,

Hope the application process is going well. I've run into questions about how you are diverse/unique experiences on a number of secondaries (e.g. Pitt/Stanford/WashU). I'm wondering how people without an obvious answer (URM/underpriveleged/gone through something really hard) are approaching this type of question. I'm thinking about just fleshing out other parts of my application that I left out the details of on AMCAS.

What do you think?

well if you have nothing that makes you somewhat different from other students...i guess you have to do what you suggested in your post.

I'd tell them I watch the Iron Chef and try to cook those things at home.

Think about your upbringings. the type of people that you associate with. do you value sports, religion, hobbies, what are your academic and non-academic passions, languages that you speak, write, these are just ideas.... etc. what do you like to do in your free time....I guess also you can do some background search, and find out if you are specific culture background you belong to...in the case that you're White (i.e....Polish, Danish, etc.)..you see what I mean....every one has culture, and diversity within them, whether we choose to practice it or not, that's up to us!

That question, or any other question, is NOT ONLY directed at Racial Diversity! They want diversity of life experiences, cultures, races, social status, etc. :luck:
