So I am an older non-traditional student (30) and was planning on using my background working in the psych field for about the past 7 years as my main diversity and discussing how I have gained quite a few important skills during my experience. I have worked in a non-profit with homeless pscyh patients, worked in ABA therapy for kids with autism, and recently got back into another psych facility for work. I feel that this could be good. However, another thing that makes me unique is that I am a father. I have a young daughter and have learned a lot about life from this as well. I am wondering if discussing being a father is a red flag or not and if I should just stick to the main professional psych work. Thank you.
