Ok, I realize that schools need both of my parents' information, regardless of their marital status. But does that mean I (1) fill out two seperate FAFSAs with info for both, or (2) do one normal FAFSA with my custodial parent's info then supplement that with tax forms and the rest of the school-specific forms (needaccess, etc)?

As someone with divorced parents, what else do I need to know about the process?

I thought you only had to give info for whatever parent is considered your main/primary/only supporter??? That was what I gathered from reading the FAFSA FAQ page.

Could someone help clear this one up?

sharkfan is correct, you only have to report info for the parent who is your main financial supporter. Just leave the fields for the other parent blank.
