Does dental schools accept a DIY Post bacc? my gpa after this summer w/o +/- will be 3.01 sgpa and 2.96 cgpa? Will I get screened out for those such gpas cuz i know my cgpa is below 3.0 but my science is 3.01 while containing a 3.7-3.8 post bacc gpa?

I did a DIY post-bacc since I'm a career changer, and no dental schools that I spoke to before I started my science coursework had an issue. However, since you took science courses already, I would ask an admissions advisor to see if they would recommend you do a formal post-bacc to boost your GPA

Is formal post bacc same as DIY? Does dental schools accept DIY?

Formal will be an actual university based program. Loyola University Chicago offers a post-bacc geared towards students who are going into the healthcare field but didnt take the courses during regular undergrad. The benefits are that you get a structured schedule and pre-health advising, but its $$$. Dental Schools are just looking for the pre-requisite courses not that you did an informal/formal program

As long as you take the right courses and have a solid GPA, I don't see why dental schools will not accept a DIY program. However, make sure that you are doing the post-bac from a school that is legitimate and have a good reputation.

what are the right courses? Is Microbiology, Anatomy and Gen Chem II, Orgo Chem II, and Gen Chem I the right courses in my post bacc program?
