DMD for DDS?

Does anyone know if you could go to a school that offers DMD but still obtain a DDS? just perfer the DDS since its what ill be eventually getting into.

Absolutely not. You get the degree the school grants. Why is this discussed so much? There is no difference. Do a search. And what do you mean "you will be getting into"?

yeah man. screw DMD work. I'm all about the DDS line of work. I hate those guys who want to do DMD stuff - it's terrible to think they will spend the rest of their lives waking up to do DMD-type work. I'll never understand!

If you search this forum, you'll see that there are many, many, many, many threads🙂rolleyes🙂 about the DMD vs. DDS issue.

Short version is there is ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM of what you can do with a D.M.D. or a D.D.S. They are 100% interchangable in terms of what you can do as a practicing dentist and/or dental specialist. It's all about the degree the dental school you attend chooses to award its graduates.
