Hi Everyone,

I am off to my last interview at DMU in a few days. I am interested in where students do their core rotations and recent match list. I have yet to find the core site list....

Anyone one else who interviewed at DMU and decided to attend, what did you love about the program?

Thanks!

You should check out the school-specific discussions at the top of the page.

Things I loved: Surgical skills lab, simulators, systems-based curriculum, attention to what students want and need, friendly atmosphere, note-sharing database, gym, emphasis on health and nutrition, nice cafeteria with good food, and incredibly friendly and helpful faculty.

I love this place. Due to my husband's graduate school plans I may try to stay closer to home. If this is the case I will be very, very sad. It felt like home to me after one day.

DMU is not systems based. Our first year classes are Anatomy, Phys, Biochem, Physicl Diagnosis, Pathology, OMM, Behavioral Med, Cell Bio, Micro, Immunology, Virology, Neuroanatomy, History of med, ethics, and a few others. It is a very traditional and what I believe to be extremely well put together curriculum.

The second year is a systems based approach, IIRC.
