DMU interview 10/12

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Anyone got a DMU interview on 10/12?

Yup, see you there. Bring a jacket cause it's going to be cold. It's going to be around 42 F which is cold for a California guy like me. Good luck

Thanks for the advise, but I work in Des Moines at the University to the north of DMU. Bring an umbrella because you never know about Iowa in the fall. 42F is perfect fall weather for Iowa but I can see where that could be cold for a CA guy. See you there!

Yup, I'll be there on 10/12 as well.

I'm the girl in the gray skirt suit.

I'll see ya'll there. I think I'm doing tours that day. Good luck to ya'll!!

Grey's smart. Absolutely 100% of the what - 30 people interviewing on my day last week - were wearing black! That's crazy! I thought SOMEone would try navy blue, or tan, or grey, or something!! 🙄

30 people on one interview day?!?😕

30 people on one day!?!? Are you sure you interviewed last week? I interviewed applicants both days & can tell you that there were only 14 last Friday & less than that on last Thursday (b/c we only had two students instead of the normal three).

Hmmm...Don't worry Rachael, there will be 15 people at most on Friday (unless for some reason they schedule PA's or DPM applicants at the same time). Good luck in your interview.

Sorry! It just seemed like 30 to me. The only other interview I have done had like, 8 people there, so it seemed like a huge crowd! But I definitely thought it was at least 20, no?? 😕 😳 (Wow, it really seemed like more than 15......!) Well - Krazykritter would know, so don't listen to me.

Wait - I was in Des Moines last week, wasn't I??!

I can understand how it would feel like more than 15...there are always some first & second years that love to get a free lunch & come do a little BS'ing w/ the applicants. That's not even mentioning the whole time you are waiting for your interview you have students talking to you trying to take your mind off the interview.

🙂 Yes - there were a LOT of current students coming by to talk with us, which was really incredible. People in the bookstore, in the admissions office, interviewers - everybody was just so nice & friendly & willing to help, answer questions - you name it! It left me with a 110% positive experience there! 😀

I'll be one of the tour guides tomorrow. Just relaxe, have fun, ask plenty of questions and enjoy the free lunch.
