I think it's called the 'fast-track', which are presecondary interviews. I belive they are reserved for people with higher stats??? Also, a couple of other schools do this too, like COMP.

What's considered good stats for these?

WOW i didn't know they do interviews that way...well i guess i have still a lot to learn about the process
I know one guy who never filled out a secondary and was invited for an interview at a DO school that REQUIRES a DO letter. He'd never even met a DO before, but they arranged for him to shadow one of the physicians on staff for a day day while he was in town for the interview and he got a DO letter that way. He had an incredible MCAT and a law degree from UCLA. They really wanted him bad, so a few rules were bent. The funny thing, though, is that he has zero personality and I can't imagine anyone ever wanting him as their doctor. But, he helped the MCAT average for the school. Gotta give him credit for that, right?

I just received an interview invite from DMU without submitting my secondary. Mine's set for September 7th, looks like we'll miss each other by a day. Congrats!!

I just got home from a funeral in Kentucky and when I checked my e-mail I also had an interview invite from DMU. I was a little stunned to be honest. I didn't think my stats were that outstanding considering the competition for seats. I admit I have a great life story though so maybe schools really do look beyond pure numbers. Lilcat my interview is also scheduled for the 7th so I guess we will see each other. Congrats to those on the fastrac and best wishes to everyone else applying this season...
Mine was verified and sent out to the schools on 7/11..DMU apparently works quickly - I didn't think my stats were amazing either, but who knows!
what were your stats?
Also, has anyone received an interview from the secondary pool yet?
This guy hasnt yet. I was complete the 9th, and received an email telling me I would be notified of my status within 30 days. lol its crunch time for me!
--BTW why dont we get an official INTERVIEW thread going, for all of the schools????
