DMU vs Campbell

Interested in dermatology so here is my dilemma. Is the CUSOM derm affiliation enough to override the DMU reputation and great yearly match outcomes.

DMU
Pros
-Reputation
- matches well
-live in the city

Cons
-harder to stay in Des Moines for rotations
-no “affiliated hospitals”


Campbell
Pros
-affiliated dermatology residency
- seems like good research opportunities


Cons
- commute or live in rural location

Both
-similar tuition
-Graded 4.0 scale with 70% min to pass
- neither are close to home so location doesn’t matter.

The affiliated program does not appear to regularly take Campbell students. The research opportunities could help, but that might be the extent of the benefits.
