It’s important to keep in mind that KCU-Joplin does not have the same reputation as it’s primary campus in Kansas City. Joplin is newer and less established. Additionally, being forced to move around for clerkships is a huge minus for Joplin. It is a new school, so odds are that its rotations are more hectic/spread out than the ones DMU has to offer. On top of all that, I highly doubt the small KCU-Joplin has more west coast kids than the huge class size at DMU. I’m from CA and know plenty of people at DMU. Overall, DMU is the better school, if not the best DO school as it is consistently ranked by residency directors.
