In order for DNA replication to proceed, DNA polymerase needs a short RNA primer to start adding nucleotide to the primer. If RNA primer is used and become part of the DNA that is replicating, does that mean the replicating DNA has the possibility of having a uracil nucleotide in its sequence? since its possible that the RNA primer might have a uracil in it.
Thanks!
