USMLE DNA virus capsid symmetry

Hi all,

There seems to be a dearth of information regarding capsid symmetry of DNA viruses - I assume that they too have capsid structures.

Does anyone know or have a reference that delineates what type of capsid symmetry they possess?

I haven't seen anything regrading that, just know the DNA replicates in the nucleus and the main one are
Enveloped: 1) Herpes 1-8 2) Poxvirus 3) Hepanda B
Nonenveloped: 4) Parovirus B19 5) Adenovirus 6) Papova

First, this is a really old thread so hopefully they've taken it by now.

Second, an easy way to remember is that as a general rule, positive sense viruses have icosahedral capsids and negative sense have helical, with a few notable exceptions. DNA viruses are all (but 1) dsDNA and as such follow positive sense rules.
