Will a DNP be the formal requirement for nurses who would like to become CRNA's? I was looking into this and wasn't too sure what the answer might be.

If you read the DNP FAQ on the AANA website then you will see they support the DNP (or a DNAP) as an entry level degree for CRNAs by the year 2025. It also goes on the say that this is support for, not a mandate. The only ones that can mandate this are the Council on Certification and Recertification (for CRNA and is a separate entity from the AANA) and state law. So will it come to pass? Maybe, maybe not, but definitely not for a while.
