Hey, so I was waitlisted at several DO schools before being accepted to a DO school (one of the original 5). During the time I was waitlisted, I studied for the MCAT and retook a 505, got 515 score back today. As a SDN follower, it seems every year the landscape of medicine is changing towards a negative way (or maybe that is SDN gloom and doom talking). I am obviously happy to go to med school and am grateful for the school that accepted me, but I also want to put myself in the best position to apply to residencies in the future. I am interested in EM, maybe radiology, idk anything else about other specialties. If you were in my shoes, and guessing how medicine will change in the future, what would you do?

In addition, how will MD schools look at a retake from 505 to 515? will this make me competitive for low-mid tier (my gpa is 3.5).

Thanks

Take the DO acceptance.

Stick with the DO acceptance, it is very hard to get an MD offer even with students with great academic profiles.

I was 98 percent taking the acceptance, just wanted to see what others would suggest. Thanks
