Do ADCOMS look at the names of the electives you take?

I have a choice of taking an easy elective called "Pop culture: Sex, drugs and rock & roll"

Would ADCOMS see it as a negative if I took a course like this?

Thank you

No. It honestly doesn't matter, especially in electives/gen eds, except that you do well.

That sounds much more interesting for hunanities than something like art history.

Oh, chill. I look at people's course list, and I don't care about an individual course name. The SDandR&R will make for good interview fodder.

Just make sure you're not too stoned to remember taking the course. You will be asked about it in an interview.

Sounds like a course that would reflect upon you positively; after all, it's offered by a college! Can't get better than that.

During my interview a student interviewer asked me about my rock climbing elective and other "fun" elective. He thought it was cool and we talked about it for a couple minutes. He explained my mcat score and pre-reqs could speak for themselves and it was more interesting to see something different on the transcripts.

But that was a student interviewer idk if an adcom would think differently.
