Not applying this cycle, but just wondering if the essay questions remain the same. So I can write my essay and get it critiqued earlier for next cycle. Thus, applying earlier.

I'm only speaking from my personal experience and I'm sure some gremlins on here will shoot me down........but, in my case I discovered the PS prompt to be the same as the previous cycle which did give me the opportunity to prepare it, have it reviewed by others, etc, etc. prior to the cycle open date. As far as other essays are concerned, I can't speak to it because I'm not sure what you're really asking. Are you referring to supplementals, and if so, then sorry I just don't know as I never went back and compared prior year supplemental essay prompts to my cycle. Perhaps of equal importance are the LOR's as that is where the real delay can occur. You may have everything else lined up for your applications and think you are in good shape to be in the first or second batch, but if you end up waiting on a LOR, you could easily be pushed into August or September batch and while that isn't an automatic rejection by any means it clearly isn't the best overall strategy as anyone will tell you that a June or July batch gets the most attention.

Probably depends on each individual school.
