Last month, I received an acceptance from LECOM, Bradenton, FL, and I need to pay a $1500 deposit by the end of September to secure my spot. However, I am also being invited for interviews at MD programs. My concern is: if I pay the deposit to LECOM but later receive an offer from an MD school, would I still be able to withdraw my application from LECOM? Or does paying the deposit mean I am fully committed and cannot attend other schools? I’d appreciate your clarification on this matter.

FYI, there is no communication between med schools about acceptances. That would be collusion.
My recommendation is to pay the deposit, because there's no guarantee you will get any more acceptances.

Pay it. It is the cost of doing business. That amount of money won't change your life in the long run.
